County Under 15
Player Development Programme

Outcome of programme: This is the second step of the player pathway and the focus is still on individual development. The emphasis is on athletes learning how to train with decision making being a pivotal element, alongside developing resilience and skills required to play netball. Learning the game as well as loving the game with a sense of working together is essential to enhance their experiences at this early stage. 

Duration and structure of training programme: November 2024 – May 2025, minimum twenty three (23 x 2hrs) sessions and some match days.

Venue & Timings: Headington (Rye Site) School, Franklin Road, Headington, Oxford

Thursday evenings, 7.30 till 9.30pm.

Programme cost 2024/25: £200

Number of athletes: 20

Age of athletes: Under 15 as of 23:59 on 31st August 2024

Duration of time athletes are in programme: An athlete may spend between 6 months to 2 years at this stage. 

Relevant competition: Under-14 or Under-16 County and/or regional Leagues, tournament and inter-school competition.

 

Athlete Progression: VNSL U15 Academy or other programmes.

Nominations close 18th September.

Athletes are expected to attend both sessions to be considered for selection.

Players can be nominated for screening by a club coach or school teacher. England Netball have created a guidance for school and club coaches to help with their nominations. Learn more here >
